Julie Fong's producing career encompasses feature films, television, documentaries, music videos, and commercials.

After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Motion Picture/TV Production, she began her career as a freelance producer of music videos. This work took her throughout the U.S., and to England and France, collaborating with such artists as Joe Cocker, Celine Dion, and Will Smith. She won a Grammy Award in the Music Video Longform category, for "Sting - Ten Summoners Tales."

Ms. Fong next expanded her projects to include commercials production, for such clients as BMW, Diet Coke, Gap, Nike, and Pepsi. In 1994, she embarked on her first teaming with director Michel Gondry, for the Levi's spot "Drugstore." This ad won numerous accolades around the world, including the Lion d'Or at Cannes and a CLIO Award, and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most award-winning commercial of all time.

She worked at ZM Productions as the company's executive in charge of production. In this capacity, she oversaw the production of telefilms, documentaries, and specials. Among the latter was the Emmy Award-winning 60 Years of Life, commemorating Life Magazine. During this time, she had the privilege of meeting and working with Drew Barrymore, Frank Capra and Jimmy Stewart, among other talents.

Ms. Fong next reunited with Michel Gondry, beginning their long-term multimedia collaboration. Together, they have crafted music videos for such performers as Beck, Foo Fighters, and the Rolling Stones. Their video for Bjork's "Bachelorette" won several awards and was a Grammy and MTV Video Music Award nominee. Their video for Chemical Brothers' "Let Forever Be" was voted Video of the Year by the Music Video Production Association and, more recently, their video for Steriogram's "Walkie Talkie Man" earned a Grammy Award nomination.

Their first feature film project was Human Nature, which screened at both the Sundance and Cannes International Film Festivals.

Ms. Fong is the general manager for Partizan, the director's music video and commercials company. She also continues to produce music videos and commercials for the director. Among the team's recent collaborations have been Kanye West's "Heard 'Em Say" and the White Stripes' "Denial Twist."
