From the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Marc-Antoine Vumilia is a Sweden-based poet, playwright , director as well as actor for theater. After studies in literature ( latin and philosophy), he was initiated to dramatic arts at the Kisangani French Cultural Center.He spent more than nine years as political prisoner in Kinshasa, the capital city of Congo where he was sentenced to death, before he escapes.The years of captivity bore an important harvest of texts among which the song texts of " More, more, more...future! "(2009) by Faustin Linyekula and Studios Kabako, and " Un monologue de chien" (A Dog's Monologue) in 2006 which is the central text of " Th Dialogues series iii: Dinozord" , a choreographic and drama performance by Faustin Linyekula. In 2010, he initiated the Ishango Workshops in Brazzaville ( Republic of Congo).With this artistic structure, he adapted, put on stage , and performed in " De le chaire au trône", a play by the Ivorian Amadou Koné.He achieved a new text in summer 2012 ( L´odyssée d´un fantôme) and performed in " Sur les traces de Dinozord in the same yeat at the KVS , the flemmish royal theatre of Brussels . He was directed by Faustin Linyekula. " Vumi" is also one of the characters of two documentary films by film makers and journalists Arnaud Zajtman and Marlène Rabaud. " Murder in Kinshasa" is a survey on the late congolese president Laurent-Désiré Kabila´s assassination " , while " A journey from the hell" is a prortrait.
