Oumar DIOP Makéna is an actor, storyteller and filmmaker. He is known for "Toubab Bi" (1991), "Bàttu" (2000), "O Herói / "Un héros" (2004) and TGV" (1998).

Training
1976: National Conservatory of Theater, Dance and Dramatic Art (Dakar)

Born in Senegal, Makena Diop studied theatre at the Dakar Conservatoire National, the school for theatre, dance and dramatic arts. An actor and storyteller, he produced Ciné Contes, a programme aimed at children and adolescents. He runs a production company in Senegal and was preparing a series of 13 short films drawn from the cultural heritage of storytelling.
Death on the 25th March 2021 in Dakar.
