Kristof Bilsen completed a BA in Filmmaking in Brussels in 2002. His first film, Three Women, about female detainees in a Belgian prison, was shortlisted for the Henri Storck Prize and aired on Belgian National Television. Elephant's Dream, his first feature film, is a co-production with Limerick Films, Associate Directors, Man's Films and RTBF. His work has screened at more than 50 festivals worldwide, taking home several awards including the Nanook/Jean Rouch Grand Prize in Paris.

Kristof Bilsen (regisseur, co-producer) behaalde zijn Bachelor in de audiovisuele kunsten in Brussel (2002) en ging dan aan de slag als cameraman, monteur en regisseur in hedendaags theater en dans. Daarna studeerde hij aan de prestigieuze National Film and Television School (UK) waar hij afstudeerde van de Master in documentaireregie. Zijn werk sleepte enkele internationale prijzen in de wacht, waaronder de Grand Prize Nanook /Jean Rouch in Parijs. Hij is ook medeoprichter van het Kitchen Sink Collective in Londen.
