Moussa, a young Algerian emigrant, returns home hoping it will be a permanent return. Considered a stranger in his own country, rehabilitation turns out to be difficult. He is about to go back to France when he is held back to do his military service. Deep down he is glad, even more so because he secretly loves his cousin Nacira.
