The life of a happy couple in every way. The husband, Japhet, is a company director, and the wife (Ginette) a doctor. They have beautiful children who are very studious and obviously well brought up. The husband has been laid off for four months from the company where he used to work, but he has kept it from his wife, preferring to maintain the same standard of living. When the wife finds out, the tension mounts. Japhet will capitulate, sign the peace of the braves by accepting to roll up his sleeves and work the land.
