Africa August 23-24
This set of films should allow us to understand the processes of creation and distribution in Sub-Saharan documentary, of what can henceforth be called the "Movement of African Documentarians˝. It is structured around three types of film:
- some remarkable works chosen from the from the collection of films published in DVD in the first "Africa Doc" collection;
- a few first films by young filmmakers who have completed the Africadoc training programme and from the just finished "African Lumière N°2 collection;
- and finally, we wish to share with you the cinematic pleasure found in a few finely crafted films by European filmmakers who via documentary representations have been able to reveal powerful movements of reality at work within African societies.
