He discovered the cinema studying it on his own. At 19 he decided to leave school to devote himself wholly to the cinema. In 2003, he made his first self-produced documentary, Le Centre, based on his observations of the people who live in his neighbourhood, as was his next film, Le Hall. His first short film, Négropolitain, was selected for the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes. He is currently working on the screenplay of his first feature film, Daron.
