Trained as a lawyer specialized in international law, François Dupaquier has worked for years as a program manager on the field (in Afghanistan, Congo, Indonesia?), and then in the headquarters of an NGO.
TO COMMUNICATE FROM WITHIN THE ACTION BY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES DEVELOPMENT
François felt at an early stage the gap between the common idea of humanitarian interventions and the field's reality. We need to better communicate on the populations' needs, on the answers to provide, on the way of working, on the complexity of the work, its obstacles and achievements through information on unacceptable situations. It is crucial to render an account to private and public donors by bringing them closer to the action. By that, the development of information and audio-visual technologies allows to communicate sometimes simultaneously to the events and to pass messages to the greater number. The idea is growing?
WITH COMMITMENT, RESPONSIBILITY AND PROFESSIONALISM
These considerations are not sufficient to start the project. We need to continue helping the poorest with conviction and creativity. FrontView wants to be a civil society maker. The idea has grown and soon audio-visual and communication professionals, interested by the concept, will be joining the project. Relief workers, film directors, producers, photographers, communication officers, are gathering together around this strong commitment: FrontView is born.
