Catherine Peix var biologilærer på høyskolenivå før hun begynte med film. I de siste 20 årene har hun arbeidet innen de fleste områder av film- og tv-produksjon. Sammen med medregissør Peter Chappell vant hun i 2004 pris som beste regissør for THE ORIGINS OF AIDS ved Hot Docs International Filmfestival.
