Nelly Pouget born in Burgundy Dijon France May 19th 1955. Studied saxophone at the conservatory with Jean-Marie Londeix.
In a preoccupation of a big liberation in creation and expression, realises performances on the movement, voice, space, builds musical instruments, works for child's theatre, lives in Africa, Europe.
Composer, she essentially presents her own creations motivated by current events, and nourished by her spiritual quest. She starts to lead in 1982.
She leads records with Sunny Murray 1991 CD Le Dire, in 1992 Jazz Festival Dudelange Luxembourg, Foyer Boris Vian Les-Ulis, Maubel Galabru Theater Paris, Espace 1789 St-Ouen.
Leads a Duo with the Belgium drummer Micheline Pelzer from 93 to 95 Tourcoing Jazz Festival, A M R Geneva Switzerland, Bern Switzerland, Tours France, Mont de Marsan France, Bruges and Thorout Belgium- - -
In 1993 plays with Horace Tapscott and leads a septet for the second CD Le Vivre with Andrew Cyrille, Michel Godard, Gérard Siracusa, Kent Carter, Jean-François Jenny-Clark.
1994 Lives one month at Los Angeles plays at 'World Stage' with Horace Tapscott, David Bryant (b), Darryl Moore (d), ' 5th Street Dick's ' plays with Nat Morgan(p) and meets Vinny Golia.
In 1995 leads an international quartet with James Lewis db (U S A), Noah Rosen p (U S A) and Makoto Sato dm (JAPON). Junes 15th 96 a vidéomusic of this quartet has been realised live at the Procreart Paris.
1997 Records with Marilyn Crispell a new CD ' Le Voir ', 1998 leads a Duo with Sunny Murray Francfort Festival, plays in Solo at Contemporary Art Center of Vassivière.
1999 Plays in solo, Culture Center of Limoges, Europa Jazz Festival of Le-Mans, records her first solo CD ' Fraîcheur Cuivrée '.
2000 Plays solo at Culture Center of Bron, Grenoble Jazz Festival. 2001 Records for Radio France an original composition in five parts for the Allabreves, France Musique, France Culture.
